Abstract

This study aimed to determine the factors affecting the adoption of e-commerce by Algerian small and medium enterprises based on the technological, organizational and environmental framwork (TOE). To achieve the objectives of the study, we collected data using the questionnaire and then they were processed by the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) using logistic regression method. The results of the study showed that among the technological factors, it is found that the perceived complexity of the implementation of e-commerce positively affects the adoption decision by small and medium enterprises; while the comparative advantage and perceived compatibility of e-commerce were not factors influencing its adoption. In addition to that, among the organizational factors, it is found that the support of top management is considered the most important factor influencing the decision of adopting e-commerce; while organizational readiness had no influence on the adoption decision. Moreover, the environmental factors are also not considered to affect the adoption decision
